2004 Barrelstone Syrah
Hailing from Washington's Columbia Valley, this is a stupendous syrah. Peppery and medium-bodied, it's light while still being interesting. Pair it with truffle cheese (available at your local Trader Joe's these days and, yes, I am a truffle cheese junkie) and you've got a match made in gastronomic heaven!
